Short Courses

Central Connects (formerly the School of Professional and Community Development) offers a range of Short Courses. Tutors are all industry professionals - actors, directors or trainers - with experience of drama school training and are externally monitored to ensure excellent standards. New students are enrolled at the beginning of each academic term and the courses can be taken independently or cumulatively to form a unified programme of practical study. Group sizes are generally small, so that tutors are able to nurture and develop creativity.

Central School of Speech & Drama’s successful and long-running Short Courses include courses for Adults, Saturday Classes for Youth and Diplomas. This section also includes our Business & Bespoke Courses, Summer Schools, and Coaching, and workshops for Schools & Colleges. All courses are taught by qualified professionals, which means that you will enjoy the same high quality teaching as the students on Central’s degree programmes.
